Compose Your Beauty Opus
Restore your skin’s youthful texture and glow while minimizing wrinkles with Opus Plasma! Fine Arts Skin and Laser of New Philadelphia - Dover, OH, is proud to offer this revolutionary development in fractional skin resurfacing. Men and women with most skin types can turn back sun- and aging-related damage to achieve noticeably tighter, smoother skin on the face, neck, or other areas of the body. Treatments only take around 10 to 15 minutes and come with very little downtime. Patients tend to be highly satisfied with their results, enjoying beautifully toned, tightened, silky skin.
Powered by Precision
The revolutionary Opus Plasma platform incorporates radiofrequency (RF) energy with plasma, which is generated when the RF energy is sent through the handpiece’s small metal pins and into the skin. Opus Plasma is a fractional resurfacing device, meaning that only a fraction of the skin in the treatment area is removed, making healing faster. During treatment, the device creates thousands of micro-injuries in the skin but leaves the tissue around them undamaged. This stimulates the body to produce collagen and elastin in the skin of the treatment area to heal these micro-injuries. In addition, the Opus Plasma device is unique in that it limits the time that radiofrequency energy is in contact with the skin, resulting in a shorter recovery time.
Faster Healing. Better Results.
Opus Plasma is safe for most skin types. Results are similar to those achieved with more aggressive treatments, but you will require less downtime to recover. This treatment can address a range of concerns you may have about your skin:
Your Beauty Collaborator
Before you undergo any treatment, we want to help you assess your options to ensure you’re confident in your choice. Schedule your one-on-one consultation at Fine Arts Skin and Laser to learn whether Opus Plasma is the right treatment for you. We are conveniently located to serve patients from Dover, New Philadelphia, North Canton, Akron, Millersburg, Uniontown, Canton, Massillon, Cambridge, and beyond. We offer a wide range of skin resurfacing and rejuvenation approaches and will help you select the “perfect fit” treatment for your cosmetic goals. If you are seeking overall facial skin resurfacing, Opus Plasma may be an excellent choice.
Before starting your procedure, your aesthetic nurse may apply a topical anesthetic to your skin to minimize discomfort. Next, they will move the Opus Plasma handpiece across the skin of the treatment area, adjusting the device setting to the proper strength to address your concerns. The length of your treatment will depend on the number of areas addressed, but sessions often take 15 minutes or less. After your treatment, your provider will apply a protective balm to your skin and provide aftercare instructions to support rapid healing and help you achieve your desired results.
The Art of Gorgeous Skin
After skin resurfacing treatments with Opus Plasma, don’t be surprised to see years falling away from your face. When you look in the mirror, you will see significantly reduced wrinkles and fine lines on the face, neck, or other areas treated. Creases are reduced, and the skin is tightened and toned all over, giving you a more silky smooth complexion.
Slip Into Smooth
You may experience slight redness and swelling after your Opus Plasma treatment, but these typically subside in 24 to 48 hours. The downtime might be slightly longer if you elected a more aggressive treatment setting. You should notice results after one treatment, but you may need two to three resurfacing sessions to achieve the best outcome.
Opus Plasma is generally safe for all skin types, including darker skin. However, if you have darker skin, we may have you prepare for your skin resurfacing session by using a topical treatment for a period of time that helps darker skin safely benefit from radiofrequency treatment without unwanted changes in pigmentation.
Opus Plasma skin resurfacing works by sending RadioFrequency (RF) into the 200 tiny quartz cones of the Opus treatment roller head. As the quartz cones are rolled over the treatment area, the surging RF energy comes into contact with the skin, and atmospheric nitrogen ionizes the Nitrogen (the outer electron is knocked off the Nitrogen atom), creating a sea of “plasma” (composed of nitrogen ions and electrons).
This plasma energy is driven into the subdermal layer by the tiny quartz cones, where it creates a precise microscopic injury to the epidermis and dermis and promotes collagen production to tighten skin, making it a good option for overall rejuvenation. Laser treatments use targeted light energy and may be better for addressing specific concerns such as dark marks or unwanted hair. At your consultation, we will listen to your skin concerns and aesthetic goals to help you select the best treatment for your needs.
"I am a 36 year old mom of 4 boys before meeting with Dr. Hartman my body, self confidence, and mental health were destroyed and I was dependent on 3 medications for depression/anxiety. I am currently on ZERO!! Let me tell you, Dr Hartman and staff at Fine Arts Skin and Laser are hands down simply Amazing! I went in for my consult very skeptical, scared, and ashamed of my body, but I came out with my self confidence boosted, a load of knowledge, and ended up scheduling my surgery a week later. I had my procedure at the end of that month--high def lipo in multiple areas (inner thighs, abdomen, love handles, bra roll, & under chin) living fat transfer, tummy tuck, and laser hair removal all on surgery day..."
