Dog Bite Facial Trauma Reconstruction
This beautiful 28-year-old female was bitten in the cheek by her friend’s not-so-friendly dog. The unsatisfactory original repair (done elsewhere) eventually led her to the facial plastic surgeon, Dr. David Hartman of Fine Arts Skin & Laser. He removed the infected wound and reclosed the wound using binocular microscopy. The fractional CO2 laser was later applied to the wound area (last frame of photo series) to further blend the wound site to what eventually became a barely noticeable scar.
