Upon the initial examination of this 48-year-old male with a non-healing ulcer on the outside corner of his eye, he was found to have a rather advanced and invasive basal cell skin cancer on the facial location that is important both functionally and aesthetically. A careful and thoughtful skin cancer removal and reconstruction at Ohio’s Fine Arts Skin & Laser was needed to avoid eyelid deformity. A novel tissue flap was designed to completely remove cancer while completely maintaining a normal-looking and functioning eye. He reported being delighted with his outcome.
