Upon the initial examination of this 62-year-old male with an enlarging skin mass on the outside corner of his nose, he was found to have an invasive basal cell skin cancer on a facial location that is important both functionally and aesthetically. A careful and thoughtful skin cancer removal and reconstruction at Ohio’s Fine Arts Skin & Laser was needed to avoid nose and lip deformity. A novel tissue flap was designed to completely remove cancer while maintaining a normal-looking and functioning nose and mouth. He reported being extremely pleased with his outcome.
