Are you looking for a simple, effective, and chemical-free way to enhance your complexion? You may want to consider PRP. This treatment uses the body’s own healing compounds to regenerate and rejuvenate the skin.
What is PRP?
Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is a component of the blood vital to the body’s healing process that can be used for cosmetic rejuvenation. During treatment, this natural product of the body is isolated and reinjected into the patient, stimulating skin renewal and healing without the need for chemicals, extended discomfort, or downtime.
How Does it Work?
Platelet-rich plasma is an important component of the blood that contains many of the growth factors, nutrients, and other healing compounds that make maintaining a healthy body possible. These platelets strengthen, repair, and regenerate nearly all of the tissues of the body.
During a PRP treatment, blood is carefully drawn from the patient. This blood is then processed through a centrifuge that isolates the PRP from the rest of the blood’s components. Once the PRP cells are isolated, they are strategically injected underneath the skin. There, they flood it with additional nutrients and growth factors that encourage its healthy regeneration. The PRP cells encourage the production of additional collagen proteins that increase both the fullness and tightness of the skin. Each of these treatments takes about 30 minutes to complete and involve little to no downtime.
What are the Benefits of this Treatment?
PRP is an excellent treatment option for patients interested in rejuvenating their skin without the need for potentially harmful chemicals, invasive procedures, or extensive downtime.
This procedure can be used to improve the appearance of:
- Enlarged pores
- Fine lines
- Uneven texture
- Skin laxity
While PRP provides patients with amazing results when used on its own, it can also be combined with EndyMed™ Intensif Radiofrequency Microneedling treatments to further encourage healing and skin rejuvenation.
Am I a Candidate for Treatment?
Nearly anyone interested in rejuvenating her or his complexion is a potential candidate for a PRP treatment. However, because this procedure isn’t safe for individuals with certain medical conditions, patients must first attend a consultation to evaluate if this treatment is right for them.
